Privacy Policy
Effective July 18, 2026 · Applies to the Notespawn iOS app and notespawn.com
The short version
The Notespawn app collects no personal data. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
What the app sends
When you generate an exercise, the app sends your exercise settings (difficulty, key, time signature, seed, and similar musical parameters) to our server, which composes the exercise and sends it back. These requests contain no identity, no device identifiers, and no advertising IDs. Like virtually all web servers, ours keeps standard short-lived technical logs (such as IP address) for reliability and abuse prevention; they are not used to identify or profile you and are not shared or sold.
Microphone
The optional note-by-note practice mode listens to your instrument to check the notes you play. Audio is pitch-analyzed on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. The app works fully if you decline microphone permission — practice mode simply falls back to the on-screen keyboard.
The website
notespawn.com runs the same generator in your browser and follows the same principles. If the site ever adds analytics or marketing tools, they will apply to the website only — never to the app — and this policy will be updated.
If you email support, we see your email address and whatever you send us. We use it only to reply, and we don't add you to any list.
Children
Notespawn collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If our data practices ever change, we'll update this page and note the new effective date above.
